The State of the Airline Industry

I fly the friendly (or not so friendly) skies pretty often, as a matter of fact I will be on a plane to Mexico first thing tomorrow morning.

So when I saw this report on the news yesterday morning, it came as no big surprise to me that the airline and airport cleaning crews were complaining about the lack of cleanliness ABC News 7-16-08.

Not that I’m a germafobe however… I do have a strict mantra when I travel to “keep my hands down.”

Which means that I don’t get my hands anywhere near my face without washing them and or using hand sanitizer first.

Blah, blah, blah, this being said I wanted to share with you some of the pictures that I took while inside of a plane flight from Moscow to Siberia…

Scary but very real! />

The seat collapse after landing!

Look close it says, Fu*K your mother\"

I guess it’s all relative?

BUT… you know what?

On the flight back from Siberia to Moscow I had a bottle of Vodka with me – yes, it was BYOB on the plane – with no questions asked. I figured that if the plane was going to go down that drinking Vodka straight from the bottle would help!

And as we made our final descent back into the Moscow airport many of the passengers empty bottles and trash rolled freely through the cabin.

Talk about relative – check out this airport bathroom, this was just one of the more well maintained airport bathrooms I encountered along that trip to Russia and Siberia.

For me in the end even as bad as the current state of airline affairs may seem, I will still fly – I’ll just bring some extra hand sanitizer, or a bottle of Vodka.

It’s well worth it -so that I can get to my final destinations.

Yes, I lived there
