Back from Mexico

Traveling is one of my favorite things to do in life – because you never know exactly what’s going to happen (well, in life you don’t but that’s a different conversation.)
Anyway, I think as a traveler you absolutely have to stay open and flexible to whatever situation that you may come across or encounter, in this case I was on the Riviera Maya, Mexico, during a major tropical storm, so much for getting a suntan on the beach or hitting the ruins that I have yet to see.
I also survived alligators, OK – that’s an exaggeration however do notice the do not swim sign outside my resort room door.
And at check in I was told not to swim in the lagoon, as they do in fact live in there, hum… I think I’ll keep my glass doors shut!
There was also voracious attacking mosquitoes, that showed absolutely NO mercy – even while I was head to toe doused in the local hard-core DEET mosquito repellent.
And I had a new experience that was extremely enthralling I took a walk through the major Tropical Storm Dolly – which is right now moving over the warm Gulf Ocean waters and has turned into Hurricane Dolly picking up even more strength and it heads straight towards the Texas coast line.
Here are some more pictures from my weekend in Mexico. Enjoy!
Tropical Storm Dolly, mosquito’s and all I would do it all over again. Life is just to short to worry about a few bug bites or getting wet from the rain!
